The exhibit this year is at the Creative Arts Workshop, 80 Audubon Street in New Haven and runs from September 6th through October 8th. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 9-5 pm, Saturday 9-4:30 pm and Sunday 10-4 pm.

The reception for this exhibit will be September 9th from 5:30- 7:30 pm with awards presented at 6:30 pm.

Attention, all active members!

This year’s exhibit will be held at the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven. Receiving for this annual exhibit will be Wednesday, August 31st from 2-4 pm and Thursday, September 1st from 5-7 pm. The exhibit will run from September 6th through October 8th, 2022. The reception will take place Friday, September 9th from 5:30- 7:30 pm.

Congratulations to Members! by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

Nine members of the New Haven Paint and Clay Club have been accepted into the upcoming exhibition at the New Britain Museum of American Art. The exhibition, called Nor’Easter: The 52nd Annual Juried Members Exhibition, runs from August 11th through August 28th. The members are: Cynthia Cooper, Karen Israel, Nancy Lasar, Joan McPherson, Nancy Oates, Peter Seltzer, Rashmi Talpade, June Webster and Margaret Wilson. The 2022 Elizabeth L. Greeley Memorial Award winners by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

The 2022 Elizabeth L. Greeley Memorial Award winners are:

John McGovern, Cooperative Arts and Humanities H. S.
Lorraine Moriarty, High School in the Community
Alicia Prete, Educational Center for the Arts

These annual awards, presented by the New Haven Paint and Clay Club, are named for the late watercolor painter, long time NHP&CC Board member. It was while "Betty" Greeley served as curator of the John Slade Ely House that she established an annual exhibit of art by New Haven area high school students, a tradition that continued for many years.

NHP&CC'S 121st Annual Juried Exhibition 2022 Gallery by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

This year’s exhibition was a great success with an amazing collection of works in all types of media. 375 pieces were submitted by 181 artists from all over New England and New York. Eighty works were accepted.

The work of three students was also accepted into this juried exhibition, Siul Rivera, Madeleine Moyn and Ilya Bhandary-Alexander.

We want to congratulate all the award winners and all that were accepted into this exhibition.

Active Members Exhibition 2020 is now open! by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

The 2020 Active Members Exhibition is now on view in the historic Sill House Gallery at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts, 84 Lyme Street, Old Lyme CT.

Come see the work of 70 of the Club’s artists on display in this beautiful and bright venue. The exhibition runs September 2nd-30th, open Wednesdays through Sundays, from 12-4 PM each day. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

To ensure visitor safety, several protocols will be in place at the gallery. Masks must be worn at all times while inside the building. Occupancy is limited to 25 persons at a time, with a separate entrance and exit to and from the galleries.

Opening reception on Saturday September 12th, from 1-4 PM, prizes awarded at 2 PM. At the opening, an ice cream truck will be serving no-cost, individually packaged refreshments outdoors, to provide an added measure of safety. Consumption of food will no be allowed in the galleries.

119th Annual Art Exhibit has been juried. by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

119th Annual Art Exhibition by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

The 119th Annual Art Exhibition will take place May 3 - May 23, 2020 at the Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven.

Submissions open until March 15.

Juror: Dr. Courtney J. Martin, Director of the Yale Center for British Art.

Prizes in excess of $4000

New this year - we will also accept traditional and digital photography and digital art.

A Century of Creativity: Connecticut Art from the New Haven Paint & Clay Club by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

We are proud to announce that 45 pieces from the Club's permanent collection have been selected for an exhibit at the Lyman Allyn Art Museum in New London, Connecticut. The exhibit is titled, A Century of Creativity: Connecticut Art from the New Haven Paint and Clay Club. It will run from January 31 through May 10, 2020. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, January 31, from 5 to 7 pm and a gallery talk and reception on Wednesday, February 26, starting at 5:30 pm.

SELECTED MEMBERS SHOW by New Haven Paint & Clay Club

Every three years we hold a selected members show. Five artists were chosen by the juror of the last members show in 2018. They will be exhibiting their work at the Ely Center of Contemporary Art (ECoCA). The artists selected are Anne Doris-Eisner, Diane Brown, Michael Quirk, Nancy Lasar, Oi Fortin. The show will run Sept 8-28, and an opening reception will be held on Sunday Sept. 8, 1-3pm.
